Arc Herkimer is holding defensive driving courses throughout the year for all community members. The detailed program is offered by New York State and is primarily utilized for diverting traffic citations, removing traffic points, insurance discounts, employer requirements, or on a volunteer basis. The course will provide information on updated and improved defensive driving strategies.
“In the Traffic Survival Workshop, I focus on reducing the risk of collisions and citations while driving,” says instructor Kelly Bunce, Transportation Coordinator at Arc Herkimer. “Drivers develop tactics to recognize current behaviors on the road, and learn ways to alter aggressions and improve defensive driving.”
Classes are open to the public on one Saturday every other month. The 2022 schedule currently includes March 5, May 14, September 10, and November 12. Each session costs $38 and runs from 9:00 am until 3:30 pm at Arc Herkimer, 305 S. Washington Street, Herkimer in Training Rooms A & B.
