The fourth annual Tom Bergen Memorial Autism Awareness Bowling Tournament will take place on Saturday, February 22nd and Sunday, February 23rd at RD’s Gorge View Lanes in Little Falls.

Guardianship and Spirituality Coordinator at Arc Herkimer, Tammy Helmer-Bergen said, “This tournament is in honor of my son Tom. He had Autism and passed away suddenly in 2016. We do this to remember him because he loved bowling, was an advocate for Autism Awareness and was a dedicated volunteer at Arc Herkimer for over 16 years.”

All proceeds from the event benefit Arc Herkimer’s Autism Program, which provides several workshops, opportunities, and resources each year for people with Autism.

This year’s event features squads at Noon and 2 pm on Saturday, and at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm on Sunday. In addition to bowling, there will be a Chinese auction, bake sale, raffles, t-shirts for sale, and prizes. There will also be a paint party for all ages on Sunday from Noon to 4 pm with Easels on the Gogh for $10 per person.

Registration for bowling is $15 per person (no door charge) and you can pre-register by calling 315-823-3630 or by stopping into the bowling alley. For more information, visit www.archerkimer.org or call Tammy Helmer-Bergen at 315-823-1865 with questions.
