The Think Local Little Falls Third Thursday events, including the Poker Run, had perfect weather for a late fall evening with temperatures in the high 60s and mostly clear skies.

Among the businesses that stayed open late, had specials, or led with an open house, there was also the Poker Run which drove people from one end of Main Street, all the way down to Ironrock Brewing in Canal Place.

Elaine Cobb with Think Local stated, “We are pleased with the crowd that was out on that beautiful fall evening, and it brought a lot of traffic to our restaurants and bars, who were happy with everyone who came in.”

“A number of our restaurants also did well with their month-long food specials, especially since this event had been scaled back significantly. We didn’t have any of the children or family events,” she said.

The group also wanted to note the 35 volunteers who made it happen by thanking them. “It’s a very volunteer-intensive event,” Cobb said.

Congratulations also go to the winner of the Poker Run, which was Kathy Prestopnik.

Octoberfest continues for the rest of the month with specials at the Cafe @ Stone Mill (pumpkin puree latte) and That Little Place on Main (pumpkin spice French toast).
