The boy’s varsity soccer season came to a close Friday afternoon with an 8-1 loss to West Canada Valley and put an end to a disappointing season for the team.

When asked his thoughts about the year, Coach Jim Carroll said, “It was a huge learning time for everybody. We spent a lot of time working on fundamentals and it didn’t show a lot at the beginning of the season but started to come together at the mid-point in the season. They started doing the things that I was asking them to do….the fundamental things.”

“We didn’t put enough of them together in a game situation. Had we done that, games would have been a little bit closer. The games where we did do that, they were close. I’m excited about what could happen next year,” he said.
