Little Falls, NY — Little Falls Hospital is pleased to announce that Jennifer Brelinsky, Analyst in the Finance Department, is the recipient of the first quarter Zero Harm Hero Award. Brelinsky has been with Little Falls Hospital, part of the Bassett Healthcare Network since 2004.

Jennifer was nominated by colleague Lori Usyk, Director of Health Information Management, for, “ensuring the safe arrival and departure of patients to the hospital.” “On more than one occasion, Jennifer has gone outside to assist those having issues arriving or departing, even during a rainstorm.” Lori stated that Jennifer “leads by example on how to identify those in need and what to do in such situations.”

“The goal for Little Falls Hospital is to ensure that extraordinary care is being delivered to every patient. The Zero Harm Hero Award was created to help promote an already strong culture of quality, safety and patient satisfaction, assuring high-reliability care for our patients, staff, and visitors. This award recognizes any Little Falls Hospital employee who demonstrates a commitment to this work,” said Michael Ogden, president of Little Falls Hospital.

“I was surprised and honored to receive the Zero Harm Hero Award,” expressed Brelinsky. “It is easy to forget how overwhelming a hospital can be to an outsider, but for a patient coming in for lab work or services, the hospital can be an especially intimidating place. I put myself in their shoes and try my best to ease their concerns,” says Brelinsky. “At Little Falls Hospital we work together, making the patient’s experience better for them. I am grateful to be part of such a caring team.”

Brelinsky lives in Little Falls, NY with her husband, Daniel and has two children Jordan and Daniel.
