Catch Reality Check in the Community This August

Looking for ways to inspire youth and create healthier, tobacco-free spaces? Reality Check is hitting the road this August with creative, hands-on events that empower middle and high school students to make a difference in their communities. These free events are a chance for teens to connect, create, and learn how they can take action against the influence of Big Tobacco, starting right here in our communities.

Join us at one (or both!) of these upcoming events:

๐Ÿ–Š๏ธ Journal Decorating & Info Session
๐Ÿ“ Monday, August 18 | 2โ€“4 PM
๐Ÿ“ Jervis Public Library, Rome, NY

๐Ÿ““ Journal Decorating & Info Session
๐Ÿ“ Saturday, August 23 | 12โ€“3 PM
๐Ÿ“ Valley Cinema, Little Falls, NY

Open to all middle and high school students, these sessions combine creativity with advocacy. While decorating journals, teens will hear how they can get involved with Reality Check, from participating in community cleanups to leading tobacco marketing observations and meeting with local leaders.

Reality Check isnโ€™t just another after-school program, itโ€™s a youth-led movement building confidence, leadership skills, and healthier communities through education and action.

Want to bring Reality Check to your school, organization, or youth group? Weโ€™re always looking to partner with educators, parents, and community leaders who care about youth empowerment. Contact Valarie Webb at vwebb@bridgescouncil.org to learn more, schedule a presentation, or start a collaboration.

Letโ€™s work together to give youth a platform and a purpose.
