The Herkimer County Historical Society is gearing up for its 9th annual Celebrity Server Breakfast “Hot Cakes With The Historical Society.” This year it is scheduled for Thursday, June 13, from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the Travelodge in Little Falls.

John Scarano, who has participated as a server since it started, will be this year’s Breakfast chairman with sixteen local celebrity servers signing on to help serve at this year’s Breakfast. They include: Ann Marie Hess, Fenner Funeral Home, Michele Hummel, Herkimer County Chamber of Commerce director, Michael Jory, Herkimer Police Chief, Greg Malta, Herkimer County Legislator, D.J. Joe (Joe Natarelli) and Gary Jackson, 97.5 FM WHMV-LP Radio, Mark Netti, Mayor of Herkimer, Mary Puznowski, Mayor of Dolgeville, Dominick Scalise, Dominick’s Deli, Ron Schoonmaker, “The Flag Man,” Dave Silvers, Bug Country Radio, Roger Skinner, Skinner Sales, Pat Talaba, Little Falls Rotary, Kim and Kelly Tranter, Crazy Otto’s Empire Diner, and Jill Rae Vennera, Easels on the Gogh.

Our servers will be on hand to wait on guests as you enjoy a delicious breakfast menu that will feature pancakes, fluffy scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage & bacon, home fries, assorted muffins, pastry, and fresh fruit. They will be competing for tip donations to earn this year’s title of “Head Celebrity Server.” Guests can also vote for the “Best Costume” award for those servers who choose to dress up that morning.

The Breakfast costs $10.00/person and tickets can be purchased ahead of time from the Historical Society and any of the servers, or at the door that morning. To also help support the Breakfast, a special “Celebrity Server Breakfast Raffle” is being held with tickets available from any of the servers. The first prize is a Jacuzzi Suite Overnight Stay and Dinner at Vernon Downs; second prize, Old Forge package, gift certificate to Toboggan Inn and Cruise for 2 on Old Forge Lake; third prize, Newport package, live plant from Newport Market Place, Gift Certificates to Flowers For You and Main Street Ristorante; fourth prize, Dolgeville area package, gift certificates to Zipp’s Hardware, Lyndon Lyon Greenhouse, and Covered Bridge Convenience; fifth prize, Terra Alfa Jeweleria Topaz matched pair loose gems; sixth prize, Italian Platter of Cookies. Tickets are $2.00 ea. or three for $5.00. The winning tickets will be drawn at the end of the Breakfast.
