Yesterday, Chamber music was on tap at Rock Valley Brewing Company as the Caroga Arts Collective performers wowed a full house with pieces like the String Quintet in G minor, Suite for Left Hand and Strings, and Piano Quintet No. 1 in C minor.
Kyle Price founded the organization and said, “Today was the last concert of our spring residency. It’s three concerts to really get the season kicked off. We have six artists that regularly play at our Caroga Lake Music Festival in the summer here today.”
“It’s nice to be back at Rock Valley Brewing and working with the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts.”
Price said there are many new and exciting things that will be happening in their upcoming season at Carogo Lake. “Some of the artists that are coming, I’m really excited about.”
Judy Collins will sing with the Caroga Arts Ensemble on August 12, 2023, at 7 pm. “She’s an overall legend. She’s actually reimagining her original ‘Wildflowers’ landmark album with our orchestra.” Wildflowers was the sixth studio album by Collins, released by Elektra Records in 1967.
“That’s going to be a really memorable show for us,” he said.
There will be a Zac Brown Tribute Band on Saturday, May 27, 2023, The Gibson Brothers on July 19, 2023, Tony DeSare, with a ‘Sinatra & Beyond’ concert on July 21, 2023, and Billboard’s #1 Alternative New Artist Laufey.
He said, “She is an amazing upcoming Jazz artist. She’s hit it big recently, and we booked her at the right time. She’s going to be amazing. She sold out a Los Angeles concert that she’s playing in September in 45 seconds online.”
“We’re also bringing in artists for our Jazz and Classical series,” Price stated.
