The Creative Outpost and Floating Home Films have released the documentary film about Oscar Stivala, which was created last November during the fall workshop.
Ander Kazmerski, a Little Falls High School graduate, and Alex Weiser spent three days in the City, two where they taught documentary filmmaking to students in a workshop and the third for additional footage.
They discussed what makes a good story and different ways to approach storytelling while covering the basic steps of pre-production, production, and post-production.
They did a pre-interview at Stivala’s house, filmed the second day, and then, on Sunday, showed the class how they would edit several hours of footage into a draft product.
On Monday, they returned to Stivala’s house to shoot an additional scene and then did b-roll footage of the City.
