Born on May 6, 1939, she was a lifelong resident of Ilion, graduating from Ilion High School in 1957.  Chic worked at Marine Midland Bank, in Ilion and Utica.  Later she worked for the family business, DelGrego and Sons (Parker Gun Repair).  After completing her accounting degree, she was employed by H&R Block.

Her love for her hometown was evident. She dedicated over a decade on the Ilion school board.  With her partner Babe, she spent many hours on the sidelines of Ilion sports: football, field hockey, wrestling and even truck pulls, loyally cheering for Lawrence and her grandchildren.  Chic also served as a Deacon at the Presbyterian Church, in Ilion.

Chic and Babe enjoyed many domestic and international trips with life long friends and family.  Their love of grandchildren also took them to Webster to cheer from the pool deck and the sports field sidelines.  They especially loved their time camping.  A fierce competitor, Chic never turned down the opportunity to play cards or participate in her weekly mahjong games.   She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing golf. Chic loved to find the best bargains on her wonder “full” days shopping with Tracy and Barb.
