On Saturday, May 13th, the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts will showcase miniature Bonsai Trees in the Gallery with an informal discussion. While you may be familiar with bonsai trees, you may not realize that they are considered an “ancient living art form” created from trees such as Pine, Ficus, and Japanese Red Maple that are familiar to many.
Doug Whitfield and bonsai artists from the Mohawk Valley Bonsai Club will show you real live Bonsai Trees and discuss the many species that are great for beginners and enthusiasts to begin the process that ultimately creates a living work of art. Bonsai creation and care will be discussed.
You will discover how Bonsai can be created from common landscape material and collected wild trees and bushes.
MVCA is open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 12 pm – 4 pm.
The location is 401-403 Canal Place, Little Falls, NY 13365.
Open and free to the Public.
Join us on Saturday, May 13th, for this Bonsai event between 1 pm and 4 pm to begin enjoying this “living art.”
