The Alpine Rehabilitation & Nursing Center held their third annual fund raiser for the Relay for Life on Thursday night. The staff said the Chicken & Biscuits dinner was one you won’t forget.

According to Casey Bayes, Assistant Administrator “We started in 2017 and we raised about $800. In 2018, it was about $1,500 and this year, we hope to raise $3,000.”

Prior to the event, they had already collected 50 reservations for the dinner. According to Bayes, the chicken & biscuits are “the best – guaranteed. We’re going to fill everybody up for $5.00.”

Bayes said “We have staff and residents that are cancer survivors and that’s why we do it. We started it for Brenda Nickols, who was an employee for 29 years, and we still love her dearly.”

#teamalpine is dedicated to raising funds for research that will help find a cure for cancer.
