Local Foods Incubator, Inc., the local non-profit that proudly presents the Mohawk Valley Garlic & Herb Festival (MVGHF), is pleased to announce that our 21st annual festival had a record-breaking day. The weather was beautiful, the smiles abundant, and Canal Place just reeked of garlic!
Mayor Deborah Kaufman opened the festival at 10 AM to long lines of waiting visitors, and the lines did not lessen until after 3 PM.
We re-donate ⅓ of any admission donations to local non-profit groups each year. This year, those graciously given $5 donations will allow Local Foods Incubator to support the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts, Pause 4 All Paws Animal Rescue, Inc., and Little Falls Rotary.
Special thanks to all organizations for greeting visitors, parking them, and selling our MVGHF merchandise. We could not put on what one of our visitors called their “favorite fall festival” without our many volunteers.
Vendors and visitors alike told us throughout the day how impressed they were with the friendliness and availability of our volunteers. Both festival organizers and volunteers work very hard to present the City of Little Falls in its very best light.
Scott Case, owner of CNY Carriage Company, reported that his horse and carriage rides were full of stinkin’ happy people every ride, all day long. This year, we had more musician performances, and all of them were very well received. A very special thank you to the Little Falls City Police Department, Little Falls City Fire Department, and the City of Little Falls DPW. Our visitors were kept safe and well-cared for in every way.
The organizing committee sends a special thank you to the nearly six thousand attendees. We look forward to our 22nd annual festival on September 13, 2025. Contact us soon if you think you’ll make a stinkin’ great volunteer! www.mvghf.com
In the meantime, Eat Stink & Be Merry!
