The Little Falls girls varsity soccer team dominated Frankfort-Schuyler 8-0 in a Wednesday afternoon matchup.
Coach Denise Scaparo said, “It was a good game. I’m glad that they stepped up the first half. We’ve been struggling in the first half lately, so it was nice to see us gain that focus right off the bat and get the early lead and keep it. It’s also nice to see some of the girls who typically don’t score have that chance up there and make some good finishes.”
The girls were dressed in orange to raise money and awareness for Leukemia. The concession stand and a 50/50 raffle were conducted as well to support Frankfort-Schuyler student Will Linscott, who was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in July, and except for one week, has been at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital in Syracuse receiving treatments.
“It was nice for a lot of fans to come out and support the cause. It’s great that we can support somebody local for Will’s fight and have the remainder of the money got to the Golisano Children’s Hospital in Syracuse,” said the Coach.
