The Little Falls girls varsity soccer team has taken the field with a new coach and a lot of new faces for the 2019/2020 season.

According to new head coach Denise Scaparo, “It’s a good group of girls. Most of them played summer together, so even though they’re missing a lot of the graduating seniors from last year, they are already gelling as a team. So I think we’re going to do well.”

The team lost their first scrimmage of the season, but Coach Scaparo said they played well. “This is definitely a passing team – they’re very skilled passers, so we’re going to focus on that ability and do what we’re good at.”

“Our keeper stepped up really well on Tuesday as well,” she said.

The team has only two seniors, so the talent they have will be around for a while. “We’ve got a good couple of years ahead of us with this group, for sure,” said the Coach. “We’re looking forward to the season.”
