LITTLE FALLS, NY – A group of students from the Herkimer BOCES Cosmetology program helped to pamper employees of Little Falls Hospital on Monday, May 13th to kick off Hospital Week events. Employees of the hospital were treated to complimentary manicures, paraffin wax treatments, facials, and hair styling.

Mary Beth Napolitano, school to careers liaison, and coordinator of work-based learning at the Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES said that events such as this allow her students more opportunities to practice their skills and work toward completing the 1000 hours of work that they need to take their professional licensing exams. “This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to gain more experience and to serve our community; a way to pay it forward for the continued support of our Herkimer BOCES programs,” said Napolitano.

The Herkimer BOCES Cosmetology program, led by Holly Rotundo-Fischer, Cosmetology Instructor, offers a full-service salon clinic to the community at discounted prices, Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.
