Herkimer County, New York – The Herkimer County Age Friendly Coalition will be holding Community Listening Sessions at 10 am on Friday, April 19, 2024, at the Venue at Stone Mill in Little Falls, and at 10 am on Friday, April 26th, at Francesca’s Banquets and Catering in Ilion. This meeting will be open to the public and will discuss the Age Friendly process and how to make Herkimer County a more livable community for all ages. Please come join us, enjoy breakfast, and share your thoughts.

The program will include a presentation to explain what “Age-Friendly” means, a breakdown of the AARP domains of livability, an open discussion to provide your insights on how Herkimer County can become more livable for everyone, and the opportunity to participate in developing our Action Plan. This all works to support Herkimer County in creating an Age-Friendly Master plan to be submitted to AARP for endorsement and then implemented in the coming years.

We encourage all to attend as we want to gather ideas from the community about how we can make our county more accessible and livable for all age groups. We want to hear what you love, what you need, and what you would like to change in Herkimer County.
