On Saturday, May 3rd the Annual Herkimer County Intergenerational Clean-Up Day will be held. Volunteers of all ages will help older adults who still live in their homes, but may need a little help with spring cleaning. Many appreciative adults in the area will receive assistance from the volunteer effort.
The Herkimer County Office for the Aging, Youth Bureau, and Working Solutions planned the volunteer event. We would like to thank all of the volunteers and send a special thank you to the Herkimer County Highway and Maintenance Departments for allowing our group to use rakes, brooms, and shovels.
A big thank you to the VFW in Herkimer who allowed us to use their facilities as a home base for the clean-up activity. Without the assistance from the community these types of events would not be possible. Thank you to all who will assist us with this project.
