Holy Family Parish, Little Falls and St. Joseph, Dolgeville will gather this weekend –
January 19/20, 2019 to celebrate the Second Sunday in Ordinary Time. All are welcome to join us.

Parish offices will be closed Monday, January 21 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.
2nd SUNDAY in ORDINARY TIME
Last Sunday we celebrated the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry of proclaiming the Word of God. Jesus has now begun his mission and today we encounter his first miracle, the changing of water into wine at the wedding feast in Cana. In this gospel not just one jar of water became wine, but enough to satisfy all present at the wedding. And it was not just some kind of wine, it was the very best of wine. God’s glory is revealed in many signs of abundance, most fully in Jesus himself. And most fully in us also, the Body of Christ, as we come to deeper belief and continue Jesus’ ministry in our own time and our own place.
DAY of PRAYER for UNBORN CHILDREM
This Tuesday, January 22, the Church in the United States observes the annual “Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children.” This day is set aside to pray for the legal protection of human life and to do penance for the violations to human dignity through abortion. We are called to observe this day through prayer and penance.
