Holy Family Parish, Little Falls and St. Joseph, Dolgeville will gather this weekend
July 25/26, 2020 to celebrate the 17th Sunday in Ordinary Time with Fr. Brian Slezak, Pastor
All are welcome to join us.

Masks are to be worn and social distancing will be maintained.
Hand Sanitizer is at all entrances of the church.

Today, Jesus continues his parables around the theme: “The kingdom of heaven is like…” Today he compares the kingdom to a great buried treasure and a jewel of great price. Jesus tells us that the kingdom is so much greater than either of these that the person who finds the kingdom will get rid of all else to obtain it. What does this mean for us? Picture the greatest treasure you can image. Jesus tells us that the kingdom of heaven is much worth more than the greatest treasure you can imagine.

The annual Peter’s Pence collection, normally taken up on Good Friday, will this year be taken up at all parishes throughout the diocese this weekend. Peter’s Pence supports the charitable work of Pope Francis. Catholics throughout the world support this collection to help the Holy Father reach out to suffering people around the globe, especially those suffering the effects of war and violence, natural disasters, and religious persecution. Please place your contributions to this collection in the basket marked “Peter’s Pence” at the entrances of the church.

If you are a young person interested in volunteering to assist at Mass, please contact the parish office to sign up. (315-823-3410). Practices for new and current servers will be held on Wednesdays (7/29, 8/5 and 8/12) -10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish and will be led by the seminarians. Please feel welcomed to give it a try.
