28th SUNDAY in ORDINARY TIME
Our gospel for this weekend tells the story of Jesus healing ten lepers. Lepers were outcasts because of their decease, they were considered impure. But no one is an outcast to Jesus, nor should be to us, all are children of God. Only one of the lepers, however, comes back to thank Jesus. Thankfulness can only happen between people in relationships with one another. Giving thanks binds the people together – the healer and the healed become one. The grateful leper, through his actions, teaches us much. We learn how faith, a deep relationship with Christ, leads to healing whatever may be ailing us.
Faith Formation classes for our youth begin Sunday, October 20 for grades 6-10 and Monday, October 21 for grades 1-5. If you have not returned your registration forms please do so ASAP. If you did not receive a registration form and would like to register your child/children please call the parish office.
