This coming Saturday we will be again holding the John Serow Memorial Kids Fishing Derby under the Wind Bridge at Lock 17.
Registration will begin at 7 a.m. and fishing will be from 8-11 a.m. We will have prizes and trophies. We have loaner poles in the event you do not have a pole. If you have a pole in need of line replacement or minor repairs we should be able to help you out.
If you have a child who has never experienced the thrill of fishing bring them down, we will get you set up and assist.
We will have nightcrawlers, corn, and bread for bait. This year in the prizes we will have a limited number of my secret lures, they are banned in 27 states and half of Canada because they catch too many fish.
It is always a great day, rain or shine and the weather report for Saturday so far is great. Hope to see you there.
