Joseph Grande

Little Falls – Mr. Joseph Grande, 74, a lifelong resident of Little Falls, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Sunday morning, May 21, 2023, at Valley Health Services in Herkimer, NY.

He was born on May 31, 1948, in Little Falls, son of the late Italo and Caroline (Braccini) Grande, and educated in Little Falls schools. On July 17, 1976, Joseph was united in marriage with Pamela Woolever in Little Falls, with whom he shared a devoted and loving union of 46 years.

Joe was a loving husband and wonderful father. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing and umpiring in the local softball league and rooting for the Buffalo Bills. He loved vacationing in Florida with his wife Pam and their many friends and spending quality time laughing and playing with all his grandchildren. Joe was truly a joy to be around, and he will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and everyone that knew him.

Survivors include his family: his wife Pamela of Little Falls; his children, Jeffrey Grande and wife Kelly of Birmingham, Alabama, and Alicia Geaneas of Leesburg, Virginia, as well as their children. He is also survived by his in-laws, Donald and Carol Woolever and Carol Russo; an aunt Claudine Grande, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Italo and Caroline, and his twin brother, John.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction and care of Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, between Little Falls and St. Johnsville, 315-508-5131. A memorial service will be held at a later date at MVFC, at a time to be announced soon. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the National Kidney Foundation. The Grande family is deeply grateful for the tender love and care that the entire staff at Saint Elizabeths Hospital, Utica, and Valley Health Services, Herkimer provided during this difficult time.
