Little Falls, NY – Small business in Little Falls has been growing in recent years with several new shops and eateries opening their doors in the historic “rock city.” In addition to new businesses cropping up, established businesses have been relocating their shops to new locations. This could be due to a desire to share a collaborative space, secure private parking for customers, obtain a new view, or simply because their business requires a larger space due to growth.
Joyfuls Vintage Designs is a prime example of a growing business in Little Falls. They were previously located at The Shops at 25 West in Canal Place before opening their stand-alone store on West Main Street downtown. As part of their strategy to transition into a larger space, the business temporarily transitioned back to Canal Place while they worked to open the doors to their latest storefront located on East Main Street.
On Saturday, December 1st, Joyfuls Vintage Design welcomes the public to join them in celebrating their grand opening at 616 East Main Street from 10am-5pm, with a formal ribbon cutting at 11am. Mayor Mark Blask shares, “Our city has a unique mix of long-standing businesses that have maintained the same storefront for decades, along with others that have moved at least once within our community. It’s great to see business people recognize what they need to succeed and go for it. It goes without saying that we are here to support them and their vision.”
This boutique shop is appropriately named after shop owner, Joy Hayes, and her vintage inspired products. These include decor and art work, most of which are handmade and created by Joy herself. You will find a wide variety of items from decorative pillows and custom wine racks, to refinished vanities and upholstered sitting benches. While each of Joyfuls’ products are unique, one that seems to stand out most to shoppers is their series of dining room door tables. Joy and her husband, Jerry, have mastered the art of reclaiming distinctively styled doors and creating dining room tables from them. It seems that as soon as one table sells, they are already onto creating the next one which is sure to be distinct from the last.
According to Joy, she had originally planned a grand opening to commemorate their first independent storefront on West Main during Canal Celebration 2017, however her family was faced with unexpected health concerns and had to postpone. Joy explains, “Thankfully we have all had good health and been able to refocus on the business. Postponing our grand opening actually worked out well because now we can celebrate our an even larger space which is what I have always wanted.”
Joyfuls Vintage Design is holding their official Grand Opening event this Saturday, December 1 beginning 10am, with a ribbon cutting at 11am, and refreshments will be served to guests. For more information, please visit the ‘Joyfuls Vintage Designs’ Facebook page or call 315-360-6673.
