This week’s illustration features Rotary Park, a beautiful Marina located off of Route 167. I like to think of this park as a little slice of heaven and I was really excited to illustrate it!
If you visit on a cool, early morning you can see the mist rising off of the Mohawk River, a blue heron, early-bird bikers preparing for a long-distance ride, docked boats and bask in the silence and beauty of our little, beautiful town.
If you’re in the mood to mingle be sure to visit Rotary Park during the annual Canal Day Celebration. This year it featured a fishing derby, the Youth Fun Paddle, Community Picnic, and the annual Fireworks extravaganza aptly titled this year as “Thunder On the River.” Throughout the summer you can also in enjoy the Summer Cruise-In with a DJ and classic cars!
I always find myself saying, “I should spend more time here. It’s just so beautiful!” I encourage you to do just that!
