The Little Falls Public Library is pleased to announce the return of its Annual Summer Book Sale, Wednesday, August 10th through Saturday, August 13th, in the library’s Community Room at 10 Waverly Place in Little Falls. In conjunction with this year’s Little Falls Canal Celebration, the sale hours will be 9 AM to 8 PM Wednesday and Thursday, 9 AM to 5 PM Friday, and special Saturday hours from 10 AM to 3 PM. Proceeds will benefit the Little Falls Public Library in its mission to educate and culturally enrich Little Falls while also serving as a site for kids’ reading programs, adult educational programs, arts and crafts classes, cultural and historical talks, as well as functioning as a meeting space for many valued community organizations.

This particular year, the library is especially grateful for assistance with the book sale’s set-up by a collection of amazing community volunteers. This group of Little Falls High School athletes, as well as their coaches, family, and friends, many of whom were taking off an afternoon during the Mounties Football’s summer practice schedule, were kind enough to help with the significant task of getting books, media and shelving from the library’s basement and its third floor into its Community Room. The Little Falls Public Library’s trustees and staff want to personally thank Andrew Casullo, Zachary Fallis, Jackson Hummel, Braden McCumber, Wayne Rodger, Ayden Rosscup, Mason Rowley, Rikki Smith, Bryan Shepardson, and Brynn Shepardson for their time and effort, helping make this tradition a reality once again for this year’s Canal Celebration.

Hardcover books will be priced at one dollar a piece, as well as puzzles, games, and media such as DVD movies. Paperback books will be priced at fifty cents an item. There also likely be some bundles of collections put together for the sale that will have a range of unique prices depending on the size and types of items included. There will be a wide selection of genres to be perused, general fiction and non-fiction, youth non-fiction, and youth fiction in all ranges from toddler board books, easy reader, early reader, junior and young adult books. The gracious donations from the community provide the library with an especially good selection of DVD movies and children’s books this year, but there will be great finds in all categories and for all tastes. The Little Falls Public Library would like to again thank the community for its generosity, both in its donations and its purchases, helping make the annual book sale a boon for the library’s operating funds.
