The Little Falls Board of Education held its reorganization meeting in the Benton Hall Academy Library Tuesday night. It was a ceremony where the board members who had been elected were sworn in, as was the superintendent for the upcoming school year.
According to Superintendent Dr. Keith Levatino “When the superintendent is being sworn in, he’s being approved by the board to serve as the superintendent for the next year. That is protocol and that has to happen every year.”
Levatino stated that it is a requirement that these appointments and oaths of office be done in the first week of July each year.
He went on to say “It’s an honor to serve. We have so many initiatives going on…academic, curriculum issues that we’re already planning for and reviewing over the summer. We’re bringing in some terrific new people, faculty, and staff.”
“Here at Benton Hall we’re going to have a new social worker/counselor and we approved a new psychologist which we’re going to post for,” he said.
Kristina Hameister was elected Board President and Bernard (Bummer) Jodway Jr., was elected Vice President.
