Little Falls Girls Tennis Suffers First Defeat of the Season

LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. — After starting the season 4-0, the Little Falls Mounties Girls Tennis Team suffered its first defeat of the season on Monday at the hands of the undefeated (4-0) Sauquoit Valley RedHawks by a score of 4-1.

Little Falls has a quick turnaround, as they are right back in action at Vets Park on Tuesday when they look to rebound against the Notre Dame Jugglers.

The results from Monday’s matchup against Sauquoit Valley are listed below.

Singles

• Ryleigh Ostrosky (SV) defeated Nalla Łuczyński-Perch (LF) 6-0 and 6-4.
• Brynn Weaver (SV) defeated Olivia Santiago (LF) 6-1 and 6-0.
• AnnaBelle Johnson (SV) defeated Kalena Straney (LF) 6-0 and 6-3.

Doubles

• Ava Jaquay and Clara Wichman (LF) defeated Angelia Curriere and Alexa Nolan (SV) 6-3, 4-6, and 6-3.
• Lilianna Werthman and Julianna Holmquist (SV) defeated Emily Talbot and Wednesday Nith (LF) 6-1 and 6-1.
