The Little Falls Municipal Golf Course has outlined a 2023 tentative event schedule, with its first big event kicking off on June 3rd. The 12th Annual Little Falls Youth and Family Center (formerly YMCA) & Doc Wind Memorial Scholarship Tournament will tee off at 8 am that morning.

Nick Regan, Course Manager, stated, “We’re off to a really good start here. They’ve just aerated the greens, so we’re going to be in even better shape.”

He said that membership is up, “Which is awesome.”

The kid’s golf program will be from June 26th through the 30th from 8 am until 10 am. “It’s completely free, and they don’t need to bring anything at all. We have drinks, clubs, and balls. If they sign up, they have free membership to the course for the rest of the year,” he said.

“We’ve got the big Doc Wind tournament coming up, and then after that, it will be the 1st annual ‘Jam for Joe,’ we’re calling it, in memory of Joe LaValla and in support of the Herkimer Humane Society,” stated Regan.

“His good friend Rich Morocco is in the Valley Rockers, and they’re going to play from 6-9 on the deck. Joe was his original drummer, so they’re doing the whole thing in his memory. It’s going to be a really big event on June 24th, with golf starting at 1.”

Regan said the ‘Jam for Joe’ concert is open to the public, and he expects a big crowd.
