Little Falls Lumber held its first Chicken BBQ & Open House event on Thursday afternoon to raise money for Operation North Pole, a program they have to supply needy families and pets with holiday gifts.
According to Karen Filipski, “This is a fundraiser to help the program get bigger and better because we want to be able to help more kids, more families, and more organizations.”
She said they’ve helped the Humane Society and several others. “We just want to be able to help more people. It’s something we decided we want to try and see if it would work. So far, it seems to be a good thing.”
