Little Falls Lumber held its second annual Chicken BBQ & Open House event on Friday afternoon to raise money for Operation North Pole, a program they have to supply needy families and pets with holiday gifts.

Dana Clanton, one of the event’s organizers, said, “This is where we raise money to buy presents for the kids. We started it last year. We’re hoping to make it bigger and keep people staying longer like we are this year.”

She said, “We have games, seating, music, and a raffle. We’re just trying to bring people together to help our cause so we can help more people.”

They sold over 200 dinners, which was a sellout. “Our goal next year is to reach 250-300 dinners.”

When asked how she felt about it, Clanton said, “I feel like everybody’s happy. We hope that it makes people aware of Little Falls Lumber and Operation North Pole. It’s a bonding experience.”
