The Blaise and Leslie Carrig Charitable Fund recently issued a series of grants to six Little Falls nonprofits totaling $50,000. The grants were made in different amounts to the following entities: Greater Little Falls Community Chest, Main Street First / Think Local, Preserve Our Past, Little Falls Historical Society, Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts, and Little Falls Library.

“Little Falls is my hometown and has always been a special place to Leslie and me. We have been impressed by the energy and engagement of these nonprofits working to enhance the quality of life in Little Falls”, said Blaise.

According to interim President of the Greater Little Falls Community Chest, Tony DeLuca, “We offer our deepest thanks and gratitude to the Blaise and Leslie Carrig Charitable Fund. This generous donation will provide a tremendous benefit to those individuals and families receiving programs and services from the 16 agencies and programs funded by The Greater little Falls Community Chest throughout the year. Our entire Community appreciates your thoughtfulness.”

Carrig pointed to a recent article about the Greater Little Falls Community Chest fundraising efforts in a My Little Falls article as being the impetus to make these awards to multiple nonprofits.

Blaise and Leslie live in Colorado and are frequent visitors to Little Falls to see family and friends. They said “There are many good things happening in Little Falls and we hope the grants help these organizations continue the momentum. We also hope our effort motivates others to give to these deserving organizations.”
