The girl’s varsity soccer team scored another victory on Monday by shutting out the Sherburne-Earlville girls 8-0 on a beautiful day.

Coach Denise Scaparo said, “We didn’t have any subs today, so they played smart, conserved their energy, kept it simple, and managed to get through it. It was our pink awareness game to raise money for cancer as well.”

The girls will continue to raise money all week, and when finished will donate the proceeds to the American Cancer Society.

“I’m proud of the girls since this is our last home game of the regular season,” she said.

Scaparo said that the three girls that were out today should be back for Wednesday’s game against Clinton.

“Every time we’ve won the last four games, we’ve helped our seeding for the playoffs. Maybe we’ll have a bye in the first round, but it’s switching every day. So we’re not sure who we’re going to face yet, but the last couple of wins have helped,” she said.
