The Little Falls varsity wrestling team pulled out a win 31-30 against Sherburne-Earlville Thursday evening. It was only their third at home appearance this season.

According to coach Brian Stever, “The team wrestled really well today. Ian, Chase, and Michael did really well in their matches. I’m especially proud of Chase because he really stepped up against a tough opponent today. Michael and Ian have improved a ton from the end of last year until now, so overall it was a great win and a good day for us.”

113, Jacob Mizerak (Little Falls) fft; 120, Michael Bucenec (Little Falls) dec Selina Moore (Sherburne-Earlville) 8-7; 132, Grayson Hammond (Little Falls) fft; 145, Travis Miller (Little Falls) fft; 152, Giovanni Venotozzi (Little Falls) fft; 160, Morgan Lakin (Sherburne-Earlville) pin Chase Regan (Little Falls) 1:42; 170, Ian Rando (Little Falls) maj dec Conner Foster (Sherburne-Earlville) 12-3.

The Mounties are 4-6 in the Division II standings.
