Marjorie A. Smith, age 76, of O’Hara Road, Little Falls, passed away on Thursday evening, March 16, 2023, at St. Peter’s Hospital, Albany, with the love and support of her family at her bedside, following a brief illness.
She was born on Nov. 10, 1946, daughter of the late Wilson and Ruby (Edwards) Martin Sr., and educated in local schools. She has shared union with Kevin Cumm, where she resided on O’Hara Road in Little Falls for many years. Many will remember Marjorie as a local real estate agent with Century 21 where she truly loved serving the needs of her clients. She enjoyed being a saleslady most recently. She was formerly employed with Whitcomb Auto, Little Falls, and also G and I Homes.
Marjorie was a loving and devoted woman giving her all in everything she did. In her leisure time, she enjoyed golfing and taking part in her league at the Little Falls Municipal Golf Course. She enjoyed life to the fullest and spending time with those she cared about. Marjorie enjoyed gardening and taking part in activities in her hometown of Little Falls.
Survivors include her companion, Kevin Cumm of Little Falls, a sister, Glady Nolan and husband Ray of Lisle, NY, a brother, Wilson W. Martin, Jr. and wife Nancy of Ephratah, NY; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Veeder, and husband Donald.
In respecting her wishes, funeral arrangements are being planned under the direction and care of Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, between Little Falls and St. Johnsville, 315-508-5131.
