The Little Falls Middle School held their open house for parents and students on Thursday night, opening classrooms and bringing in teachers in the 6th through 8th grade to meet everyone that showed up.
“It’s a chance to get to know everybody,” said Principal Maria Lindsay. “We let the kids be the tour guides for the night. They can take their parents and go everywhere in the school.”
The students did a community bulletin board where they got to show their goals and dreams for the year. “They can take their parents to find their feather on the board,” she said.
For sixth-graders, it’s a whole new experience. For the seventh and eighth graders, they have a new group of teachers as well.
“This is an opportunity for them to meet everybody at once and just develop that home-school connection. We need that open line of communication with each other and this is just a great way to foster that at the beginning of the school year,” said Lindsay.
