LITTLE FALLS, NY – The Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts kicked off its Regional Juried Art Show on Saturday, showcasing an impressive array of talent from artists across the region, spanning Syracuse to Albany. The event, held at the art center in Little Falls, highlighted 60 pieces from 35 artists, marking a significant milestone for the organization.

Janet Wren, President of the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts, expressed enthusiasm about the show’s growth and quality. “This is the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts. It is our regional art show,” Wren said. “We were overwhelmed with the number of artists that were submitting this year. The work is top-notch, from people who have been in the area for many years and new newcomers.”

The juried show, known for its rigorous selection process, drew a diverse pool of submissions, with acceptance considered a notable achievement. “It is quite an achievement to be accepted into the show,” Wren noted, emphasizing the high caliber of the exhibited works. She added, “The show is amazing. You won’t be disappointed if you visit.”

Board member Justin Como, who presented the awards during the opening, praised the exhibition’s variety and personal touch. “This is an amazing exhibition with an exceptional amount of variety and personality,” Como said. “As a viewer, I thank everyone who submitted and shared a bit of yourselves with us.”

The Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts continues to establish itself as a hub for regional artists, with Wren noting growing recognition among creators. “We’re excited to see that people are starting to realize that the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts is a place where they want to show their art,” she said.
