The Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts cordially invites all artists working in any medium – painters, photographers, sculptors, etchers, lithographers, fiber artists, potters, and fine-arts-makers using other forms, to submit work for this annual show. There is no theme for the show, even though there have been in the past.

According to Fine Arts Committee Chair Pat Callahan “It’s a regional show that we do every year. The prizes are great, $500 for first place, $300 for second, and $200 for third. Last year we started asking for digital submissions, so we’re asking for artists to send us jpg’s so that the judge, Doug Whitfield, can look at them all in Dropbox.”

“We’re looking at putting about 35 pieces on the wall for this show. Each artist is allowed one entry and the cost is $20. We’re also only looking for pieces that are for sale…no ‘not for sale’ entries,” she said.

All artists are invited to participate by submitting digital images of their artwork to by July 10th. The prospectus is below, available at, or at the Arts Center located at 401 Canal Place Little Falls.

The awards ceremony will take place on August 1st, 5:30-7:30 at the Arts Center and is open and free to all art lovers. The show will run through the entire month of August.
