More than 200 people showed up for the Community Carnival at the Alpine Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. This is the fourth annual event, and each year it has gotten more popular with the residents and their families.
According to Casey Bayes, Assistant Administrator of the facility “We have free hotdogs, hamburgers, snow cones and popcorn. We’ve got events for the kids, including a bounce house, and I’ll be headed over to the dunk tank shortly.”
Tickets for the event were only $1.00 and all proceeds go to the Relay for Life. “It’s a great day in the sun and the kids are having so much fun, which is something the residents really enjoy watching.”
This was the first year that they’ve had live music at the event as well. “KDogg Acoustic is entertaining the crowd for us today.”
Bayes went on to say “It’s a good ole fashioned day of family fun, here at Alpine.”
