The Little Falls Mounties boys varsity basketball team fell to the Central Valley Academy Thunder in a 76-53 loss on Saturday. The team fell behind by 10 points in the first quarter and were not able to overcome the deficit.

According to Coach Bryan Shepardson “The kids played hard. It was a tough week. We weren’t able to get to the gym a lot with the weather and it was really tough for them to get into a rhythm.”

“I think as the game went on, we got more comfortable, but they were just having trouble putting the ball in the basket. When you fall behind against good teams, it’s tough to catch up. They played hard right until the end,” he said.

Mason Trumball had 12 points, Eli Cooney had 8 and Jordan Graudons and Ted Schoff each had 7.

The boys next play Frankfor-Schuyler away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019.

Little Falls is 1-6 in League play and 5-12 overall.
