The girl’s varsity basketball team stayed just ahead of the Dolgeville Blue Devils almost the entire game in a hard-fought contest, winning 59-55 in the end.

Coach Pam Munger said, “They tried to work the boards. They were working against height that they’re not used to having out there on the floor. I think some really key passes and baskets came in the fourth quarter from Stella Rowley. Liv had some shots that were key as well, and went to the ball doing what she needed to do.”

“Not having Kylie (Kress) here tonight – not having that shooter, I kind of missed having.  But we pushed the ball a lot tonight. We didn’t execute the baskets I wanted to, but the goal was to run and to run hard, so I think that overall made a huge difference,” she said.

Olivia Lindsay had 17 points, Gabby Sylstra 13 and Stella Rowley, Riley Dunn, and Shayna Straney all had 8 apiece.

The girls are now 8-10 overall and 8-7 in the CSC. They play again tonight at home against Adirondack at 7 pm.
