The Canal Place Development Association (CPDA) has been working on a plan to design, purchase, and install signage to direct people to and around Canal Place for several months.
The first of several signs started going up on Wednesday, as City DPW workers installed the first wayfaring sign on the underpass building at the bottom of the east ramp in Canal Place.
More signs to follow in the near future.
The signs were paid for by the Canal Place Development Association & planned by the signage sub-committee & made by Bob Critser of Herkimer.
Thanks to the city DPW men who had painted the building in the early spring to be ready for the new signage. Their support is greatly appreciated.
Too bad the city employees could not be bothered to paint the building on the other side of the tracks by the arterial. That building looks like one of the many abandoned houses on Worst Main Street, (I mean West Main St) !!!!!!!!
