On Tuesday afternoon, it was rainy outside, but inside the Little Falls Public Library, there was nothing but music to thrill the listeners.
It was a concert with three piano duets of old-time music. Martha Regelmann, an organist who has moved back into the area from New York City and local organist Helen Maksymicz combined for the one-hour performance.
Maksymicz said, “We have some hard duets to do and then I’ll play all the oldies between those.”
Maksymicz has played at the Proctor Theatre in Schenectady and in the Capital Theater in Rome and has been a church organist for 61 years at Holy Trinity.
Regelmann stated “I’m playing all of the patriotic songs with Helen. I’m not singing today, but playing in the beginning, middle and end.
The audience was enticed to sing along with the songs that they knew, especially the ending number with all of the patriotic service themes.
