Road Work Report for the Week Beginning May 16, 2022

HERKIMER COUNTY

Hamlet of Cedarville, Village of Ilion: (D#264479) Route 51 between Jordanville Road and Philip Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with 2 three-color temporary signals and flaggers in place due to culvert, drainage, and guiderail work.

Village of Ilion: (D#264728) Route 5S over Route 51. Westbound motorists will be detoured down the westbound exit ramp to a temporary three-color signal at the intersection with Route 51. They will then be directed up the entrance ramp to re-enter Route 5S westbound. Eastbound motorists will encounter lane shifts. The signal, detour and lane shifts are due to the bridge deck replacement on Route 5S over Route 51.

Village of Ilion: (D#264647) Route 51 between West Street and Fourth Street. Construction operations being performed off the road with no impact to traffic in the area of the Steele Creek bridge.

Village of West Winfield: (D#264453) Route 20 between North Street and Fairgrounds Road. Motorists will encounter a full road closure with a signed detour in place due to the replacement of the removal and replacement of the temporary bridge over North Winfield Creek. Traffic will be detoured utilizing North Street and Stone Road.

ONEIDA COUNTY

Town of New Hartford, City of Utica: (D#264350) Route 5/12 between Wilbur Road and Lomond Place. Motorists will encounter lane shifts in both directions due replacement of the Route 8 overpass. There will also be a speed limit reduction of 45MPH through the work zone. 

Town of New Hartford, City of Utica: (D#264350) Route 8, Route 840 between Commercial Drive and Campion Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures and lane shifts in both directions due to the replacement of Route 8 bridge. Access to Route 5/12 eastbound/northbound from Route 8 southbound and Route 840 eastbound will be via the Campion Road exit. 

Town of New Hartford, City of Utica: (D#264350) Route 5/12 westbound/southbound ramp to Route 8 southbound. Motorists will encounter a full ramp closure with a signed detour in place.

Town of New Hartford, City of Utica: (D#264350) Route 8 northbound ramp to Route 5/12 eastbound/ northbound. Motorists will encounter a full ramp closure with a signed detour in place. 

Town of New Hartford, City of Utica: (D#264350) Route 8/840 southbound/eastbound ramp to Route 5/12 eastbound/northbound. Motorists will encounter a full ramp closure with a signed detour in place. 

Town of New Hartford, City of Utica: (D#264350) Route 5/12 eastbound/northbound ramp to Route 840 westbound. Motorists will encounter a full ramp closure with a signed detour in place. 

Town of New Hartford: (D#264619) Route 8 over Oneida Street. Motorists will encounter the south bound lane shift into the northbound passing lane over Oneida Street. Oneida Street will be closed to traffic in both directions between Roberts Road and Oxford Road with a signed detour in place. The detour will be Roberts Road to Mohawk Street to Elm Street. Oxford Road to Kellogg Road. 

Town of New Hartford: (D#264449) Route 5 at Oakdale Ave. Motorists will encounter short term intermittent lane closures in both directions between 7am and 12pm due to work on the signalized intersection. 

City of Utica: (D#264318) Route 5A at Schuyler Street. Motorists will encounter short term intermittent lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to signalized intersection work. 

City of Utica: Route 5S between Broadway and Auditorium Drive. Motorists will encounter a westbound lane closure due to miscellaneous construction activities at the Nexus Center.

City of Utica: Route 5/8/12 between Oswego Street and Burrstone Road. On Thursday May 19, motorists will encounter a southbound lane closure due to overhead sign inspection. 

City of Utica: Route 12 south bound ramp to Route 5a/Route 5S/State Street. On Thursday May 19, motorists will encounter a south bound lane closure on the ramp due to overhead sign inspection. 

City of Utica: Route 49 between the Cavanaugh Road exit and the SUNY IT Parkway exit. On Wednesday May 18, motorists will encounter an eastbound lane closure due to overhead sign inspection. 

Town of Deerfield: Route 12 at Route 8 ramps. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions on Route 12 and the ramps due to utility work. 

Town of Westmoreland: (D#264449) Route 233 at Main Street. There will be signalized intersection work being performed with no impact to traffic. 

Town of Steuben: Route 274 between Fuller Road and Soule Road. Motorists will encounter a full road closure with a signed detour in place due to multiple culvert replacements. The detour will be Soule Road to East Floyd Road to Route 274. 

Town of Boonville: Route 12 between State Dam Road and Lovers Lane. Motorists will encounter a north bound shoulder closure due to utility work. 

City of Rome: (D#264607) Route 825 (Wright Drive) at Route 49. Motorists will encounter a full ramp closure with a signed detour in place. The detour will be King Pin Lane to East Dominick Street. There will also be a temporary signal at the intersection of East Dominick Street and King Pin Lane. 

City of Rome: (D#264604) Route 26 between Route 365 and Erie Blvd. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with a speed limit reduction to 45MPH during working hours due to the construction of new project ramps. 

MADISON COUNTY

Village of Canastota: (D#264448) Route 13 between NYS Thruway Exit 34 and Warners Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both direction with temporary signals in place. Construction work is off the road and there will be the occasional stoppage of traffic due to material deliveries. 

Town of Georgetown: (D#264624) Route 26 over Otselic Creek. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with a three-color temporary signal in place due to bridge deck replacement. 

Town of Deruyter: Route 80 between Chapin Road and Route 13. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to paving operations. 

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

City of Amsterdam: (D#264031) Route 30 over the Canal. Motorists will encounter the closure of the middle lane in both directions. Traffic will flow through the outside lanes north and south bound. Route 5 east bound ramp to Route 30 south bound remains closed. Erie Street eastbound will be closed and a temporary traffic signal will be utilized. 

City of Amsterdam: (D#264508) Route 5 between County Route 157 and Route 30 south bound. Motorists will encounter the west bound lane on Route 5 closed to traffic from Dean Street to Schuyler Street. Route 5 will also have the left shoulder closed from the Route 5/Main Street/Schuyler Street intersection to the Route 5 /Liberty Street intersection. Route 5 westbound is closed from Schuyler Street to Liberty Street. 

City of Amsterdam: Route 5 between John Street and Lark Street. Motorists will encounter a full east bound sidewalk closure with a pedestrian detour in place. 

City of Amsterdam: Route 67 between Kellogg Street and Clizbe Avenue. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to highway reconstruction. 

City of Amsterdam: (D#264347) Route 30 at Thruway Exit 27. Motorists will encounter lane closures and lane shifts in both directions with flaggers in place due to overhead traffic signal work. 

City of Amsterdam: Route 30 between Golf Course Road and Tessiero Square. Motorists will encounter lane and shoulder closures due to miscellaneous roadwork operations. 

Village of Fonda: (D#264656) Route 5 between Hickory Hill Road and Route 334. Motorists will encounter short term flagging operations in isolated areas on Route 5 due to the removal of curb and sidewalks, grading and shaping ditches and the placement of curb and sidewalks. There will be sidewalk closures as well as overnight shoulder restrictions at the curb installation areas. 

Village of Fonda: (D#264656) Route 334 between Route 5 and Veeder Street. Motorists will encounter short term flagging operations in isolated areas on Route 334 due to the removal of curb and sidewalks, grading and shaping ditches and the placement of curb and sidewalks. There will be sidewalk closures as well as overnight shoulder restrictions at the curb installation areas.

Village of Fonda: (D#264656) Route 5 between Switzerhill Road and Mohawk Drive. Motorists will encounter short term flagging operations in isolated areas on Route 5 due to the removal of curb and sidewalks, grading and shaping ditches and the placement of curb and sidewalks. There will be sidewalk closures as well as overnight shoulder restrictions at the curb installation areas.

Village of Fort Johnson: (D#264383) Route 5 at the intersection of Route 67. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions due to the installation of the new wireless detection system for the new traffic signal along with miscellaneous traffic signal work. 

Town of Minden: Route 80 between the Herkimer County Line and Route 5S. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to paving operations. 

Village of Canajoharie: (D#264620) Route 5S between Little Mohawk Street and Mitchell Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to bridge work. 

FULTON COUNTY

Town of Johnstown, Town of Ephratah: (D#264567) Route 67 between Route 10 and Abel Drive. Motorists will encounter intermittent short term flagging operations due to the installation of culvert pipes and the grading of ditch lines. 

City of Johnstown: (D#264292) Route 29, Route 30A between Briggs Street and Prindle Ave. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to the installation of sidewalk, lighting foundations, topsoil, and turf establishment. 

Meco, Town of Caroga: Route 29A between County Route 122 and Route 10 Pine Lake. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to paving operations.  

Town of Johnstown, Town of Caroga: (D#264479) Route 29A between Fisher Road and Willie Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to culvert and drainage work. 

Village of Northville: Route 920H over the Sacandaga River. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with a 3-color temporary signal in place due to bridge joint repairs. 

HAMILTON COUNTY

Hamlet of Blue Mountain Lake: (D#264600) Route 28N/30 Between the Village of Blue Mountain Lake and the Adirondack Museum. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to culvert repair

Town of Indian Lake: (D#264479) Route 28 between Sawmill Road and the Warren County Line. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to the removal/replacement of box beam rail, culvert, and drainage work. 

*Bridge cleaning operations will be occurring on various routes and various locations in Oneida and Madison Counties. Motorists may encounter short term lane closures with flaggers in place. Work is weather dependent.
