Robert J. “Bubber” Yerina Sr.

Robert J. “Bubber” Yerina Sr., age 87, a lifelong Little Falls resident, owner and operator of Garlic Delite Farms, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2024 at Valley Health Services, Herkimer, with family members by his side, following a long illness.

He was born in Little Falls on April 8, 1937, son of the late John G. and Susan J. Yerina of Little Falls and attended Little Falls schools. Robert enlisted in the Navy upon graduation serving aboard the USS Randolph as an electrician’s mate. He married Doris J. Oldick on April 16, 1964 and celebrated 60 years of marriage in April of this year. He was Scout Master for Troop 25 and an active member of the National Ski Patrol at Shumaker Mountain in Little Falls.

Survivors include his wife, Doris (Oldick) Yerina of Little Falls, his son, Robert Jr. (Laura) of Little Falls; son, William (Julia) of Little Falls; daughter, Dori (Thomas) Gilman of Tupper Lake; daughter, Suzanne (partner Sarah Jacobs) of Freeport Maine; son, John(Erin); son, Frank(Lisa) of Ilion; his grandchildren, Robert (Jennifer) Yerina III, Erika (Nik) Reff , Nicole Yerina (Adam Campbell), Kali Yerina, Nik Cooper, Brandon and Channing Burdick, Kaitlyn and Christopher Gilman, Morgan Chase (Jeff Ronczy) , Jordan Chase (Jake Bickford), Molly, Benjamin, Adam, Jonah and Wesley Yerina and Raelynn and Kinleigh Yerina; and great-grandchildren, Rolan, Ryder, Ryker and Ridley Yerina, Aria Reff and Channce and Gianna. Survivors also include a sister, Betty (Howard) Comstock, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Arrangements are being taken care of by Daniel J. Enea’s Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, Little Falls. His last wishes there will be no service or calling hours, memorial contributions can be sent to the Herkimer County Humane Society where he rescued many of his canine companions.
