Rock Valley Brewing Company had an exciting weekend, mixing a Coronation Party for Little Miss Rodeo New York Isabella Hearn while hosting several vendors, including Brooks BBQ, a DJ, raffles, and more. Saturday evening, Rev-D returned to the stage with live music featuring Little Falls native Philip Scarano.
Hearn’s mom said the Miss Rodeo New York Foundation is a non-profit organization. The girls with the titles go all over from rodeo to rodeo, and they get to carry the flag. “Some are signing autographs and encouraging other girls to come out of their shells and be the best version of rodeo they can be.”
Mike George, the owner of Rock Valley Brewing, stated, “The season so far has been surprisingly decent. It hasn’t been stellar, but it’s wintertime, and we have to expect that here in Upstate New York. The community has graciously stood behind us, and we’re very fortunate for that.”
He said that today’s fashion show was an opportunity to raise money for Hearn to help with the costs of the title and the required travel. “We have Brooks BBQ here today and a number of her friends and family for the fashion show. It’s just an opportunity to show off some different outfits, and we had a number of vendors here with crafts and horse-related items.”
“We had a nice turnout, and I’m happy with everything today. It was fun,” he stated.
George said, “Rev-D always pulls a great crowd, and this is our first band in the seasonal tap room of the year, so we’re pumped.”
He also said they have a big festival in May called the Powerhouse Rock Festival. “We’ll have six local food vendors and three local bands throughout that Saturday. I hope to see everyone there because it’s going to be a blast. I’m going to be out there enjoying myself.”
He says they have several other events coming up for the spring, including paint and sips, which will probably continue until June.
