The Rotary Club of Little Falls met on January 15 for its weekly Wednesday night meeting at the Elk’s Lodge. Phil LaLonde, who is very familiar with Rotary, was the speaker, or should we say, entertainer?

In high school, he received the Utica Rotary Club scholarship. During one of his many trips to Thailand, he presented the Local Rotary banner to the Rotary Club in Pattaya.

Phil is known in our greater community as an educator and administrator. He finished his career after 25 years in government service.

His program was entitled “Inspirational Stories and Music.” It was inspirational, as Phil’s story-telling and singing resulted in an emotionally charged evening that was enjoyed by all.

The public is invited to join us for our next scheduled speakers on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 7:00 pm. John Ossowski and Mike Beehm are “Crocherer’s Extraordinaire” and will be presenting on “The Mohawk Valley’s Largest Crochet Christmas Tree.”
