Sunday morning, members of the Southside Improvement Association met to spread and level new dirt on the Casler Street area they previously pruned, weeded, and cleaned of overgrowth. Working with the DPW’s help, big improvements have been made to the area.

With public donations, the group planted over 300 daffodil bulbs which will bloom next spring.

Casler Street is the main entry into that portion of the South Side east of the 167 bridge. Many visitors turn in there to walk and bike the Miracle Mile trail.

More clearing will be done opposite this area in the near future so as to improve visibility for walkers, bikers, and cars as they approach the intersection of Casler and the Recreation Trail.

Anyone interested in working with the Improvement group is more than welcome to call 315 -717-4749 for more information.
