Rev. Dr. Wanda Faith Sewell, Th. D., Ph. D.
As a Nation rises and wants to be free
Men and women of that country must in another believe
No matter who the person is they know a price is to be paid
For some that price would never fade
What do you want to be or do?
Your beliefs may be many or few
Getting up for work or sleeping in
That freedom is yours, so enter again!
Some will put on their uniform and go to war
Memorial Day 2025 reflects that in our heart’s store
Where the tears are mingled with the pride so true
As they were watching those leaving, they kind of knew
Would coming home be granted to each one of them?
That unknown waiting feels like an eerie bend
The prayers ascended to God’s Throne
There in that place you know you are not alone!
The Highest Price Paid
Will never fade
The Highest Price Paid
Where Old Glory’s meaning is made
The Highest Price Paid is for every grandparent, mom and dad
brother, sister, cousin, spouse, friend, aunt, uncle made sad!
Blessings & Comfort this Memorial Day 2025
