William F. Walters, Jr.

LITTLE FALLS – William F. Walters, Jr., died unexpectedly, on May 9, 2022, at the Little Falls Hospital. He was born on October 14, 1947, in Danbury, CT, the son of William F. and Helen E. (Horan) Walters.

William graduated from Henry Abbott Technical High School, Class of 1965. Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Army, in Panama, as a Sergeant during the Vietnam War. While he was in the Army, he married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Woodard, and settled in Danbury, CT. They celebrated 54 years of marriage in January. William was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was very active in archery and won many competitions. He also enjoyed showing his corvette.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Robert; and granddaughter, Isabella.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Barbara (Woodard) Walters, is his daughter, Deborah Christensen, and her husband, Mark, of Little Falls; his brother, Gary Walters, and his wife, Barbara, of Danbury, CT; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A service of remembrance and interment will be held at 11 a.m., on June 4, 2022, at St. Peter’s Cemetery, in Danbury, CT.
